Our history. The idea
The idea for the company was born after a 15-day trip to Bangladesh in May 2016.
This story begins with the idea of creating a company that would allow me to work with beautiful and useful objects, and at the same time collaborate with communities of artisans who work to have a better life. After a 15-day trip to Bangladesh in May 2016, this idea came up.
As the sole partner of this project, my name is Aintzane and I want to tell you that, hand in hand with MCC (an NGO that has been working for more than 50 years in development aid projects around the world), I was lucky to learn about various projects of Fair Trade.
When disembarking in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, the shock is great: an overcrowded city, an anarchic traffic, heat, very hot and humid, strange smells and different customs. The crowds go to work at the production plants of the multinationals, all impersonal and without a sign on the door that identifies any brand.
In the midst of this scenario, I found artisans and professionals who try to live in a dignified way with the fruit of their work, demonstrating that there is a capacity to create beautiful things. Nesting is born from that vision and my passion to collaborate with local communities and make a positive difference in the world.

Objective and Design
Since then I have been working redesigning products and adapting them to the tastes of the Spanish market, without losing their original essence.
My objective in establishing Anidando is to help produce and market handcrafted pieces made fairly, by companies that already have the International Fair Trade Certificate (WFTO) or that are working to achieve this certification. Although I am not an NGO, I would like to help with my work so that other people can also live from their own work in a dignified way.
More than 90% of the workers of our partners in Bangladesh are women, and thanks to these jobs they are able to invest in better food, education and health for their children. I believe that this has a positive impact on social development in the medium and long term, and I like to think that I am putting my small grain of sand in this process.
Finally, the first container arrived and it was a great emotion to open box by box and check that everything was well packed and was just as beautiful as in the photos and samples. And so it was!

How we work. Hope
Anidando imports fair trade products made by hand in Bangladesh. We work with local artisans in the design of the products, looking for the best way to use local materials.
The people who make up Anidando and our collaborators, both in Bangladesh and in Spain, believe that a type of business is possible where productive economic activity is combined with social responsibility and respect for the environment.
We give priority to those products that use recycled materials in their production and also those that use environmentally friendly materials. The dyes that we use to color our baskets are AZO-free and comply with European regulations.
Once the products have arrived in Spain, we market them through distributors and stores, although you can also purchase our products by contacting us through this website (I no longer sell to individuals, at least not officially, this would remove it ). Consult our points of sale.
